Rediscovering, Remembering, Retelling: Dia de Los Muertos Exhibition

Rediscovering, Remembering, Retelling.

Tonalli Studio's 2016 Dia de Los Muertos Altar Exhibition.
Dia de Los Muertos is about remembering our ancestors and the recently departed. We acknowledge their existance and express our love and affection, even for those we never met. as Profesora, Lara Medina and her daughter Marisol ask the question. "How do we remember our histories that we were never told?" This question leads one to action, and the dig for information opens up new stories and realizations. Rediscovering, Remembering, Retelling starts with small altars for the recently departed, to the retelling of discovered stories that resonate and validate our identity. This exhibit also apeals to us to remember that we are part of Mother Earth and how we need to do our part the preserve our existance and legacy as human beings in our home EARTH.
